Sounds for Closed Eyelids is a series of generative experiments using only a few instruments and effects all recorded to tape. Most of these tracks were conceptualised, arranged and mixed in the same day, production was fairly minimal as I wanted the raw nature of these tracks to remain. Most of it was recorded to a Tascam 414 or an Akai reel to reel then mixed in Ableton Live.
I wanted to create a series of dreamy, contemplative tracks that could be used for meditation or before sleep and also explore generative music and how machines can act almost as a writing partner, pushing the sound into new areas to explore.
